The Non One Less movement has released data from its Gender Violence Observatory for 2026.

Since the beginning of the year - the data is updated on the 8th of each month - 13 deaths "induced by gender and hetero-cis-patriarchal violence" have been recorded.

This includes ten femicides, one suicide of a trans girl, and two cases currently under investigation.

Additionally, there are at least 22 attempted femicides reported in the news from national and local media.

The Observatory explains that in all cases the murderer was known to the victim: they are husbands, ex-husbands, fathers, sons. In three cases the man took his own life after committing the murder.

The report also shows how gender violence knows no territorial or demographic distinctions. Cases have been recorded in Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Calabria, Lombardy, Sicily, and Tuscany. The youngest victim was 14 years old, and the oldest 85.

According to the Non One Less movement, there were 84 femicides in 2025. In 2024, the cases were 99.
