The hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning before the Court of Review in Milan to discuss the request for house arrest made by the defense of Carmelo Cinturrino, the police chief assistant in prison for the murder of Abderrahim Mansouri, who was killed in the Rogoredo grove last January 26 during a drug control, has been postponed to March 17.
The postponement was requested and obtained by lawyers Marco Bianucci and Davide Giugno, who were recently appointed by the policeman to replace Piero Porciani, as they need more time to complete some investigations regarding the reconstruction of the crime and to carefully read the documents filed by the Prosecutor's Office, which are the same ones attached to the precautionary measure ordered, at the request of the public prosecutor, by judge Domenico Santoro last February 25.
The lawyers, it was reported, were granted access to the case files only last Thursday and Friday, the day they could physically go to the court registry, but they were unable to enter the Justice Palace due to a bomb threat.
The officer, now at San Vittore, has always denied the murder charge, claiming it was a case of self-defense. He also denied having engaged in illegal behavior during the anti-drug operations he conducted while on duty at the police station on viale Mecenate, in the area between Corvetto and Rogoredo. These operations include about ten cases of alleged requests for 'pizzo and beatings', which prosecutor Giovanni Tarzia and prosecutor Marcello Viola are investigating following the complaints from Cinturrino's colleagues, drug dealers, users, and other individuals, for which they are seeking corroboration.
