With cocaine under the jacket: 38-year-old dealer arrested

The agents of the state police ordered him to stop with flashing lights and sirens while he was driving at high speed and with an unusual gait. Behind the wheel was a 38-year-old man who, despite the order to stop, continued driving for several hundred meters, only halting the vehicle near the area in front of the Barcelona fruit and vegetable market.

During the check, the police immediately noticed the particularly nervous behavior of the driver. For this reason, they requested the support of personnel from the Mobile Squad of the Messina Police Headquarters, who arrived shortly after at the scene.

As the personal search began, the thirty-eight-year-old, instead of cooperating, attempted to break free and flee. However, the attempt was thwarted after a brief chase by the officers. Meanwhile, the man's gesture did not go unnoticed as, during those tense moments, he threw a plastic package he had hidden under his jacket into a nearby garden.

The package was immediately recovered by the police: inside, they found about 300 grams of cocaine. At the end of the judicial police operations, the narcotic substance was seized and the thirty-eight-year-old was arrested in the act for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking. He was taken to the Barcelona prison, as ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Giuseppe Verzera.
