Alarm for poisoned baits: massacre of dogs and cats, the volunteers' complaint
"Children and animals in danger. Identify the perpetrators immediately"
"In recent days, there have been cases of dog poisoning in Palma di Montechiaro, and I find it absurd that no one is talking about it enough. It is a very serious situation for our animals and for the entire community."
This is denounced by Giusy Lauricella, one of the volunteers who fight, too often unheard, against the cruelty and insensitivity of heartless individuals who have no respect for defenseless creatures left to wander the streets in search of food.
"Spreading poison means putting dogs, cats, children, and anyone who might accidentally come into contact with toxic substances at risk - Lauricella warned - but I hope that those in charge take action and that serious checks are carried out to identify the culprits. We cannot pretend that nothing is happening in the face of such a cruel and dangerous act. If necessary, I will be the first to report the incident to the competent authorities. I urge anyone who has seen anything or has useful information to speak up. Silence protects no one."
