Sewage system failure: the 'San Giovanni Bosco' school flooded. Students evacuated

The malfunction of the sewage system has caused, in the early hours of today, the flooding of several rooms in the San Giovanni Bosco elementary school, in the city center, which houses the “Dante Alighieri” Comprehensive Institute.

Water and sewage have invaded part of the building, making it impossible to continue classes: the administration has ordered the urgent transfer of students to the Saint Augustine complex, where educational activities have continued under far from optimal conditions.

The sudden transfer has generated discontent among numerous families, who complain about organizational difficulties, reduced space, and a reception described as “makeshift”.

From within the school, however, there is a tendency to downplay the incident, asserting that, despite the difficulties, the continuity of education has not been compromised.

The malfunction has been reported to the Municipality and a team of workers has intervened already in the morning to identify the source of the problem.

However, the date for the reopening of the San Giovanni Bosco complex remains uncertain: before returning, a complete sanitization of the premises and a verification of safety conditions will be necessary.

In the meantime, parents are asking for clear guidance on how to organize for tomorrow and are urging for an official communication that, at the moment, has not yet arrived.
