Palermo, the Italo Belga case: the appeal to the TAR against the revocation of the historic Mondello concession will be discussed on March 24
The hearing of the first section of the administrative court
The appeal filed by Immobiliare Italo Belga against the revocation of the concession by the Sicilian Region, issued at the end of last February, will be discussed on March 24. This is established by a decree signed by the president of the Tar Salvatore Veneziano, who has thus established the registration of the case and the acceptance of the request to shorten the time frame for addressing the merits of the issue.
The appeal of Italo Belga, represented at the Tar by lawyers Carlo Comandè, Andrea Ciulla, and Calogero Marino, opposes the document with which the Regional Department of Territory decided to revoke the historic concession that the company has in the Mondello area. Among the reasons cited by the Region are the case of Gm Edil and the assignment of services to Mida, a company that manages restaurants and bars within the Italo Belga concession. According to the Region, Mida would have operated without authorization since 2023, which would have caused the breakdown of the trust relationship between Italo Belga and the Region. However, the Region itself has held events at the Terrazze restaurant, part of the Mida management, after the alleged expiration of the authorizations, and this was one of the reasons for the appeal by Italo Belga.
