Bad weather, orange alert and heavy rain on State Road 284

Today, around 1 PM, the state road 284 in the stretch between Adrano and Biancavilla was hit by a heavy rain that created significant inconveniences for drivers. The orange alert issued in recent hours did not lead to the closure of schools and public facilities, such as parks and other spaces. Many citizens who needed to reach their workplace or return home from those areas, however, encountered considerable difficulties. Several drivers reported sections of road made complicated by the heavy rain.

On social media, several people wrote that in those areas not only local citizens work. Many workers, in fact, come every day from other municipalities in the area. For them, reaching these zones in such adverse weather conditions often becomes complicated. The intense rain has therefore created inconveniences especially for those who had to travel for work reasons. A situation that has put many drivers in difficulty. And that highlights once again the critical issues of interprovincial traffic.
