The priest's challenge to the Municipality: the statue of the Sorrowful Madonna will not return as long as the trash bins remain

The statue of the Sorrowful Madonna will not return to its place until the bins are removed. There is controversy between the pastor of the Church of San Giuseppe Cafasso and the municipal administration which, during the renovation work on the paving in Via dei Benedettini, had allowed the residents of the area to move the carts right next to an ancient votive chapel. However, once the construction site was closed, the waste remained. Ten days ago, the pastor announced on social media that if the carts were not removed, the Madonna would be removed. And so it was.
